Carnaval de Barranquilla: A party for everybody

Barranquilla’s carnival is the biggest cultural expression that we have.

I love every day of this party, but my favourite day is Batalla de flores because in this day we can admire the creativity in the floats, folkloric groups ready to entertain the public.

And at night dances in the neighborhoods of the city and the concerts are very attractive.

Carnival is a mixture of different cultures and that is what I like, that diversity is reflected in every expression of art we see in our carnival.

  1. What do we learn about Tuareg culture from this video?
I can see from this video of Tuareg culture is that they feel trapped in the cell of their lives and only want these become open plain to be free.

  2. Keeping in mind what you learned from this interview, how does seeing the visuals within the video and knowing the meaning of the lyrics give us a deeper understanding of Tuareg culture?                               Actually, they do express feelings of passion and anger in their songs and although the rhythm is a bit calm, their lyrics are very strong and full of their experiences.
